IN AN ACCIDENT

If you’ve been in an accident you can ask the responding officer to have your vehicle towed by Arrow Wrecker. It can be towed to our secure lot, or to a repair shop of your choice.

Here is what else you should do:

  • If possible, move your vehicle to the side of the road
  • Check for injuries, and call 911 if anyone needs medical attention
  • Find a safe place to wait for help – DO NOT leave the scene of the accident
  • Contact the police if there are injuries or damage to property
    • Provide requested information – DO NOT admit guilt or blame others
    • Request the name and badge number of the responding officer
    • Ask how you can get a copy of your accident report
  • Obtain vehicle and insurance information from other drivers
  • Request names and contact info for witnesses, and anyone with injuries
  • Document the accident scene with photos or sketches – be safe doing it!
  • Prior to having your vehicle towed, remove valuables
    • Garage door opener
    • Glasses, sunglasses and personal items
    • Mobile phone and charger
    • Documents (registration, proof of insurance)
      • To protect your identity, remove documents that contain your address or other personal information

It typically takes 8-10 days for a record of your accident to be compiled. You can request an accident report by submitting an Oklahoma DPS Records Request.
